Caregiver Requirements
Here is exactly what we look for, so you can decide whether to apply without guessing.
What You Will Need
- Legally authorized to work in the United States
- At least 18 years of age
- Able to pass a background screening
- Able to provide required documentation during onboarding
- Reliable, punctual and able to commit to a consistent schedule
- Genuine compassion and patience with older adults
- Able to communicate clearly with clients, families and the office
Helpful, But Not Always Required
- Previous caregiving, CNA, home health aide or personal care experience
- Experience supporting clients living with dementia or Alzheimer's
- A valid driver's license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to work overnight, weekend or live-in assignments
- Experience with mobility support and safe transfer technique
If you are new to caregiving
Experience is valued, but attitude matters just as much. If you are dependable, patient and genuinely want to help people stay at home, we encourage you to apply — training is provided.
What the Work Involves
You will
- Assist with bathing, dressing and grooming
- Prepare meals and support good nutrition
- Provide medication reminders
- Help with safe movement and transfers
- Handle light housekeeping and laundry
- Offer genuine companionship and conversation
- Accompany clients to appointments and errands
- Report changes and concerns to the office
You will not
- Administer medication or adjust doses
- Perform skilled nursing tasks
- Provide wound care or give injections
- Offer medical, legal or financial advice
- Handle a client's banking or finances
- Do heavy cleaning, ladder work or lifting outside safe technique
