Accessibility Statement
We build for an audience that includes people with low vision, limited dexterity and assistive technology. Here is what we have done, and how to tell us when we fall short.

Our commitment
Most of the people who use this website are either older adults or family members arranging care under stress. Accessibility is not a compliance checkbox for us — it is the difference between someone being able to ask for help and giving up.
We aim to conform to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA.
What we have built in
- Larger default text. Body copy is set above the typical default and text can be resized to 200% without breaking the layout. Pinch-zoom is never disabled.
- Strong colour contrast. Text, buttons and links meet or exceed the WCAG AA contrast ratios.
- Full keyboard access. Every menu, form, accordion and the chat assistant can be operated without a mouse, with a clearly visible focus indicator throughout.
- Skip to main content. A skip link appears as soon as you press Tab, so keyboard users can bypass the navigation.
- Screen reader support. Semantic headings and landmarks, descriptive link text, alternative text on meaningful images, and correctly labelled form controls.
- Accessible forms. Every field has a visible label, errors are announced and linked to the field they belong to, and no form relies on colour alone to signal a problem.
- Reduced motion. If your device is set to reduce motion, animations and scroll effects are switched off.
- Large touch targets. Buttons and links are sized for people with limited dexterity.
- No auto-rotating carousels. Content never moves out from under you while you are reading it.
Known limitations
Some parts of this site rely on third parties whose accessibility we do not control:
- The embedded map on our contact page is provided by Google. If it is difficult to use, our full address is written out in text directly beside it.
- Our caregiver application is hosted by CareSmartz360 and follows their accessibility practices rather than ours. If you have difficulty completing it, call us and we will help you through it.
Alternatives if the website does not work for you
You never have to use this website to reach us. Call 815-600-4166 and a person will help you directly — including with arranging care or completing a caregiver application.
Tell us when we get it wrong
If you run into something on this site you cannot use, we want to hear about it. Tell us what page you were on and what happened, and we will fix it and help you in the meantime.
