Personal Care
Dignified, hands-on assistance with daily personal routines, delivered by caregivers trained to protect privacy and independence.

Personal care is often the first place families notice a loved one could use support. A shower starts to feel risky. Buttons and zippers become frustrating. Getting ready in the morning takes an hour instead of fifteen minutes.
Our caregivers step in exactly where help is needed and step back everywhere else. The goal is never to take over — it is to make the daily routine safe and unhurried so your loved one keeps doing as much as they comfortably can.
Every personal care plan begins with a conversation about preferences: shower or bath, morning or evening, which clothes, which routines matter. Those details are written into the care plan so any caregiver who visits follows the same familiar rhythm.
How Personal Care Makes a Difference
Fewer bathroom falls
The bathroom is one of the highest-risk rooms in the home. Having someone present during bathing and transfers removes the single most common fall scenario.
Dignity preserved
Caregivers are trained in privacy-first technique — draping, pacing and asking before acting — so personal care never feels like a loss of control.
A routine that holds
Consistent grooming and hygiene routines support comfort, confidence and a sense of normalcy day to day.

This is very common and we plan for it. Caregivers often begin with lighter tasks — laundry, tidying, conversation — and move into personal care once trust is established. We never force a task.
No. Gentle Touch Home Assist provides non-medical in-home care. We assist with daily living activities but do not perform skilled nursing tasks, wound care or medical treatment.
